[Tutorial] How to remove hyperlinks in a batch in Word

There must be a time when you need to anonymise your files, one key step is to remove all the URLs in hyperlinks. If you only do a Search n Replace, the sensitive information will still be stored in the hyperlinks.

Here’s how to do it in both Windows and Mac environment.

Windows:

Single instance:

Right click on the hyperlink, Mouse over to Hyperlink, Select Remove Hyperlink

Multiple instance:

Select all the instances (Select all by CTRL+A) then CTRL+SHIFT+F9.

Mac:

Single instance:

Right click on the hyperlink, Mouse over to Hyperlink, Select Remove Hyperlink

Multiple instance:

Select all the instances (Select all by COMMAND + A) then COMMAND + 6

Hope it helps!
